Prohibited & restricted items

HPG Gear Exchange is for hockey gear sold between community members. The following items may not be listed. Listings that violate this policy will be removed and the seller's account may be disabled.

Strictly prohibited

Anything illegal under federal, state/provincial, or local law.
Stolen goods, or items you do not have the legal right to sell.
Counterfeit or replica gear misrepresented as authentic.
Recalled equipment (e.g. recalled helmets) — check the manufacturer.
Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or items modified into weapons.
Drugs, controlled substances, vapes, tobacco, or alcohol.
Performance-enhancing substances or supplements requiring prescription.
Hateful, harassing, or discriminatory items or messaging.
Adult / sexually explicit material.
Live animals.
Personal data, accounts, or services unrelated to hockey gear.

Restricted — list with care

Used helmets, face cages, and mouthguards: allowed, but disclose age, any impacts, and HECC/CSA certification status. Buyers should inspect carefully — a previously impacted helmet may no longer protect.
Goalie masks: disclose any cracks, repairs, or repaints.
Skates: disclose blade condition, rivet issues, and any boot damage.
Team or league apparel: only list items you have the right to resell.
